Faulhaber helps Regaining the ability to walk independently

With the exoskeleton "Autonomyo”, this dream can now be made a reality. The active walking aid supports the weakened muscles and enables an intuitive sequence of movements that mimics the natural sequence. The additional power is supplied by six micromotors. To facilitate a harmonious interaction between the exoskeleton and its user, FAULHABER developed an innovative all-in-one component motor with a torque sensor.

The smart future of agriculture

How can the earth feed nine or ten billion people? "Smart farming" is an important part of the answer to this existential question: Extremely high efficiency in food production through the targeted use of the latest technology, computer-supported and – where possible – fully automatic. Seeds are individually and precisely placed; fruits carefully picked by mechanical grippers; fertilizers and plant protection products applied in small doses and in a targeted manner. These operations require a large number of small electric motors that are both robust and powerful.

FAULHABER integrates subsidiary PDT

Greater added value, shorter reaction times, more competence. Even in the year of the company's 75th anniversary, FAULHABER continues to improve customer service. Effective April 1, 2022, Dr. Fritz Faulhaber GmbH integrates subsidiary PDT Präzisionsdrehteile GmbH from Nürtingen and thereby welcomes 34 new specialists to the Schönaich location. Thanks to this strategically planned step, FAULHABER can, with a machining center of its own, respond more quickly to individual requests and expands competencies in the area of machining production.

Exceptionally high speed and dynamics

With its speed and torque, the new AM3248 stepper motor from FAULHABER raises the bar in terms of performance and dimensions. Offering up to 10,000 rpm, it can achieve five times the speed of comparable stepper motors. Combined with a gearhead reduction of 100:1, it supplies a torque of 5 Nm. The motor delivers these values with a diameter of just 32 mm. This makes it ideally suited for a wide range of applications in areas such as aerospace, laboratory automation, large optical systems, the semiconductor industry, robotics and 3D printing.

In the age of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Industry 4.0, intralogistics plays an increasingly important role. The precise transport of goods and materials will become a key factor in efficient production. The mobile transport systems from Evocortex perform this task with unusual means.
