2020 Robot World—the Exhibition in Line with the ‘Untact’ Era—Introduces the Latest Trends in the Robot Industry
To be held at KINTEX for 4 days from October 28 to 31
2020 Robot World, which will be held at Halls 1 and 2 of KINTEX, Ilsan, for 4 days from October 28 to 31, is expected to present visitors, participant companies, and buyers with the latest trends in the robot industry in association with relevant industry sectors.
2020 Robot World has been held since 2006, sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and co-hosted by Korea Association of Robot Industry, Korea Institute for Robot Industry, and Institute of Control, Robotics and Systems. A variety of enterprises and institutions related to the robot industry have participated in this event.
This year, 150 enterprises from 20 countries will participate in this event, using 400 booths in total. During the period of this exhibition, about 50,000 observers and 35,000 buyers are expected to visit this venue.
Robot World 2020 plans to present various robots including manufacturing robots, robot parts, distribution robots, personal service robots, and professional service robots, smart manufacturing solutions, smart applications and SW, and drones as well as their collaborations with AI, smart cities, smart farms, etc.
In addition, items of the manufacturing area and service area will be separately presented in their respective halls: one for the manufacturing area including cooperative robots, smart factories, AGVs, and machine visions & smart sensors; and the other for the service area including medical robots, educational robots, drones, and personal mobility units.
During the exhibition period, a special hall for the robot industry will be operated. The ‘Robot Start-up’ special hall will promote start-ups in the robot area and provide new business opportunities for such small and medium sized start-ups. The ‘Hall for Men of Talent’ is to provide men of talent with opportunities to show their creativity and ability related to robots to the full and to find job offers in association with robotics enterprises. To attract visitors, this special hall will include experiencing booths for university departments and clubs during the exhibition period .
As many programs of the industry exhibition, which was scheduled to be held this year, have been canceled or delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic, Robot World 2020 has established its thorough quarantine system for secure operation. In addition, the online exhibition also will be presented in line with the ‘Untact’ Era, which has become a mainstream due to COVID-19 pandemic.
As part of the quarantine system, the access control system will cover the entire building of the venue and the separate reception desk also will be operated. Just in case, everyone entering the exhibition venue will be asked to apply the 4 basic steps including the two temperature checking steps, wearing a mask and plastic gloves, and distancing during the tour.
The online exhibition will utilize 3D items to maximize the sense for the real as well as various systems that will help visitors experience the exhibition as if they visit the venue in person.
Against the background that industry exhibitions are delayed and canceled one after another lately, industry professionals and exhibition industry sectors pay attention to this 2020 Robot World to be held on upcoming October 28, expecting that it can go beyond the boundary of the robot industry and present a new hope for various industry sectors.
