The industrial robot manufacturer FANUC and the automotive group BMW AG have signed a framework agreement for the supply of 3,500 robots for new production lines and plants. FANUC robots will be used in the production of current and future generations of BMW models.
Three new Allied Vision Prosilica GT Large Format cameras, with high-resolution 2 nd generation Sony IMX CMOS sensors, offer outstanding imaging performance. IEEE 1588 PTP and Trigger over Ethernet bring precise triggering using a single cable, reducing system costs and complexity.
As in previous years, IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH was able to exceed industry expectations in 2019. With a sales increase in the higher single-digit percentage range, the company has held its ground well in the market, contrary to the 7% sales decline forecast by the VDMA for machine vision. The increase in sales was particularly strong in North America compared to the previous year.
The ADTa-100 interface serves as an installation tool and diagnostic accessory designed to be used with Renishaw's rotary and linear absolute optical encoders. It acquires comprehensive real-time data from the readhead which assists with quick and easy encoder installation, and in-field fault finding, potentially saving time and reducing installation and maintenance costs.
The industry's leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components, is now stocking the SLS32AIA010Mx OPTIGA™ Trust M solution from Infineon Technologies.
STMicroelectronics’ L6983 38V/3A synchronous DC/DC converters maintain high efficiency at all loads with a maximum value of 95% and are highly integrated with synchronous MOSFETs on-chip to save external components and simplify design.
Kellstrom Defense Aerospace (KDA) has signed a new multi-year extension to an existing distribution agreement with the Sensors and Fluid Management Systems (SFMS) business unit of AMETEK Aerospace & Defense.
Electric motors are a powerhouse user of electricity worldwide, accounting for about two-thirds of industrial electricity consumption. The International Energy Agency reports that electric motors account for around 45% of total global power usage. Thus, improving the efficiency of electric motor-driven systems has a significant impact on costs for industrial and other electricity consumers. One way to improve efficiency is to move away from fixed speed motors driven by the AC line voltage to variable speed motor drives where a three-phase inverter is used to generate the sinusoidal currents to turn the motor.
Rosemount vibrating fork, paddle, capacitance and vibrating rod switches provide users with flexible level monitoring and overfill prevention solutions in all silo types.
